Samsung has been very efficient right from the beginning of 2019 in terms of rolling Android Pie for its phones. Gradually the Pie upgrade started with the Galaxy Note 9 and S9 devices. It was followed by beta testing on Galaxy Note 8 devices. However, the beta phase has come to an end with Samsung finally releasing the stable Android Pie update for Galaxy Note 8. It is now available in Bulgaria and Slovakia with build number N950FXXU5DSB2. The system upgrade also packs Android security patch for February 2019 and some bug fixes.
Though Bulgaria and Slovakia were non-beta based regions, Samsung has chosen to introduce the Pie in these places first. Speaking of which the latest stable Pie OTA is equally rolling out for beta and non-beta users. This means users who are on Android 8.1 Oreo can also avail the system upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie.
New system level step-up will bring new features like gesture navigations, adaptive battery, improved notification management, App slices, Recent Apps etc. Along with that, Samsung is introducing the new OneUI interface which replaces the previous Samsung Experience UI.
